This is folk music from Auvergne (France), a pastoral song. When listening to this piece, it is not difficult to picture a shepherd tending his flock, leading them to the best pastures, and looking for a refreshing brook……..

The starting point for this arrangement was the orchestration by Joseph Canteloube, a French composer and folk music collector (1879 – 1957).
