Description
This work was intended as the first one of a set of guitar etudes based on the Puerto Rican “Bomba”. This style of music of African roots has many different types of rhythms. Bomba rhythms are called “seises” in the north part of Puerto Rico and “sones” in the south. Leró is a “son” of the south region of Puerto Rico. This piece is inspired on “Leró pa´Cico Mangual” by Emanuel Dufrasne and recorded by his group “Paracumbé”.
