Hungary has a tremendous wealth of folk music, both vocal and instrumental. Composers and arrangers gratefully draw on this. A well-known example of this is Johannes Brahms, who incorporated many existing songs and dances into his 21 Hungarian Dances. This Hungarian Fantasy is a medley of original folk songs. A big wink to Brahms here and there is certainly noticeable!
