Description
This work originally dates from the end of the 16th century. Ottorino Respighi (1879 – 1936), the Italian composer, created a set of 3 suites entitled “Ancient Airs and Dances” (Antiche Arie e Danze), in which he incorporated original melodies for lute from the 16th to the 18th century. This Siciliana is one of them and is located in the 3rd suite.
